Hi,
Sorry to post again, but I forgot to check for replies.....
I recently put in a content advisor password on IE6 on my PC to test some
settings. I don't need it anymore and would prefer to return to the original
setting of no password - in case I should forget it later on (I still know
it now). The standard of entering the old and leaving the new blank is
rejected. Any other way?
Thanks
Michael

Michael,

If you know the password, you can disable it thru internet explorer > tools > options > ratings.

Manually reset the forgotten Content Advisor password:
http://www.dracon.net/regedit/reg03.html

Automated: (Courtesy : Jim Byrd - MVP)
If you wish to restore Content Advisor to its original condition, download this program (CA-Reset.exe - 89.5K)
http://ftp.donaldsonconsulting.net/M...visor%20reset/.
http://ftp.donaldsonconsulting.net/M...t/CA-Reset.EXE
NOTE: Using CA-Reset will completely delete your Approved List

Thanks. I knew the password, but that still meant I would have had to know
it to change my options at a later time. Your manual reset did the job.
