Contacts - 'Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book' greyed out

      17th Jul 2007
I have 1 user that this setting in their Outlook 2003 is grayed out??
(Select Contacts, right-click and select Properties, select the Outlook
Address Book tab)

We are on a windows 2003 domain with Group Policies, but I don't see any
settings for this in any GPO's.

Any help is appreciated.

It's not a setting that GPO controls. That symptom usually means that the user does not have the Outlook Address Book in their mail profile. Start at Tools | E-mail Accounts to add it.

This means that the person has not correctly configured the Outlook Address
Book service in the mail profile. See this:

It does not work with Outlook 2003, any other suggestions?

Tell us exactly where the process fails and exactly what error messages you
receive when it does.
