When searching for contacts (i.e. Contacts > Search tab), it seems that I
can't search for the first name and that's inconvenient because some of my
contacts are not updated with a surname (I have about >1000 contacts).

Sometimes even searches using the whole surname don't work as expected,
because the contacts with a particular surname are not displayed, even though
I know they are within my contacts.

Contacts are not brought up when I type in a part of the surname, either.

Has anyone encountered similar issues and found a workaround?

It would be nice to have the contacts being looked up as I type, something
similar to other software available to manage contacts.

The Contacts Lookup window reliably searches on first and last name fields
and parts of them.

It's in the Standard Toolbar.
