When I want to send an email to someone in my contacts, I click on the "
To." button. Not all my contacts show up. I have checked the other contact
lists and my missing contacts are not showing up in those lists either. When
I go back to the contacts file, the people are there. What is really strange
is that most of my contacts show up in the "To." button, only a handful don't.

Have these missing contacts actually got an electronic address? (i.e. an
email address or a fax number)?

Yes, the contacts that do not show up have email addresses.

Open the contact record of one of the contacts that don't show up. Is the
mail address underlined? Change one letter of the mail address, replacing
it with exactly the same letter. Save and close the contact. Does it show
up now? Did you by chance import those contacts that don't appear?
