Contacts address to Word

I now have Word 2007. With earlier versions I could go to contacts and click
to put the mailing address in a Word document. Did I lose this handy feature
when I "upgraded"? If not, how do I get the mailing address from an Outlook
contact to appear in a Word document. I can send an email, but cannot find
out how to start a Word document using an Outlook address.

Posted quite often - in Word you need to add the addressbook icon to your
QAT.
Click the drop-down arrow next to your QAT and choose "more commands"
NB - this will only work if you are also using Outlook 2007 as your Contacts
manager....

I tried what you said and received this message from MS Word: "Upspecified
Error" Check your mail setup. You must have Extended MAPI version 1.0 or
higher to use this feature. What now? Thanks for your reply(s).

After 3+ hours on the phone last night with Word and Outlook tech support,
they concluded there is a bug with this feature on some computers. They have
no fix at this time. I would like to thank all of you for trying to help!

We've always managed to get things working once the user creates a new
profile, migrates their data to it correctly, and then configured the
Outlook Address Book correctly. The only confirmed "bug" we know of in
Outlook 2007 is that you can no longer repair the Outlook Address Book
Service by removing and re-adding it, so creating a new profile is
necessary.
State how you did that.

Russ, since the tech had control of my computer, I am not exactly sure of
everything he did. Perhaps the details are in his case notes.
