Even though the check box is set for type ahead of contacts
(tools/options/send), typing an email address into the 'to' text box
does not start this feature. Known problem? Any workaround?

Tools | Options | Send and make sure the box is checked there to use
autocomplete and also in IE, Tools | Options | Advanced.

contact type ahead does NOT work if the adresses were exported from OE during
the conversion process to window mail. only addreses i created in windows
mail get pulled up during type ahead. and even that feature is bad because
it pulls up "double results" . For example, If I have a contact names steve
cochran when with email (E-Mail Removed) when i type cochran windows mail
will pull up as choices: Steve Cochran <(E-Mail Removed)> as it should,
but also show another choice for (E-Mail Removed) i.e. your email address.


In general I have found windows mail to be a poor substitute for OE, for
this bug as well as other bugs like not being able to decode partial binaries
in newsgroups like OE could do and other quirks. How does one submit bug
reports to MS?
