Contact List Fails to Function

I recently received a new Dell Computer with Vista. I successfully imported
my contacts list from Outlook and can see the contact info. But, when I
attempt to add a new contact or contact folder I get a quick flash of a box
on my monitor but the contacts refuses to open. The only solution I have
found is to remove the July 10 Windows Update KB933928. Once this is
removed, the contact folder functions with no visible problems. I am not
happy with the solution of manually removing an update and of course my auto
update will keep trying to reinstall the July update. Is there another
solution?

There hasn't been a definitive fix for this problem.
Some have reported success after uninstalling Spybot or similar
third party anti-spyware programs. Others got relief after resetting
IE7. The only 'fix' that is 100% effective for this issue is to upgrade
to Windows Live Mail:
