Contact List: All of notes area to print? (truncating)

I am unable to get all of the "notes" area to print from my contact list,
outside of using the "memo" page set up. It truncates them. I would prefer
a set-up that indexes the contacts by letter. EG. "A" header for all the
contacts that start with "A". (That is why I didn't use memo format.)
