My company is looking to develop a mobile application that will sync with our
corporate sql server. We would like to get assistance in getting this off
the ground as none of us have done any mobile development before.

Isn't there some sort of paid developer support that is available directly
from Microsoft? I've looked on the MSDN website, but all I can find is
technical support for products, not actual development support.

A phone or email would be greatly appreciated.

I could well be wrong here, but I don't think Microsoft offers any direct
consultant-developer services. Microsoft works though a network of
"partners", many of whom will offer the paid services you seek. Your nearest
local Microsoft Office can probably offer suggestions and contact points.

In the USA, you can start here:

http://www.microsoft.com/about/compa...s/default.mspx

Elsewhere, here:

After getting transfered several times...I finally found the correct group.
It's called Microsoft Advisory cases. Phone: 800-936-4900 Option 2. This
is for developement support, architecture design, etc. $210.00 per hour.
Once you explain what type of development assistance you need...they will
route you to the correct group.

I've used these services many years ago. Definately expensive...but if you
want to get a solid foundation for a new project or have a specific hurdle
that you're trying to overcome it's a good option.
