I have Outlook 2000. I am trying to send contacts to a friend that has
birthday and aniversary dates on the detail tab. My problem is that when my
friend copies the contact into their contact folder, the birthday and
aniversary dates do not appear on their calendar. The only way they can get
it to appear is to edit the date. How can I get this to automatically put
the dates on their calendar when they add a contact to their outlook?

I think you have to modify the contact in some way to get the dates on to
the calendar.

Your friend will have to make some change to the contact record, even if
it's just to change some value to itself.
