When I open Outllook I can get my mail, but my calender and contacts are
empty. The calender is unable to display. I also get a message that the pst
file is in use. I can not find anything running the pst and have tried
closing and restarting. Anyone know why this would be happening?

Tried scanning the pst-file for errors with scanpst.exe already?

The lack of detail in your post prevents us from giving us a more direct or
precise answer.

Include at least;
-your version of Outlook (Help-> About)
-type of mail account (POP3, IMAP, Exchange, HTTP, Outlook Connector,
Exchange, other...?)
-any errors in their exact wording as they are presented to you.
