Constrain Excel Solver solutions to a list?

I have a problem with 8 variables that I need to constrain to a list. I have
tried using validation, but it seems that solver disregards the validation
tool. is there a way to constrain to the list? There are about 55 different
values that the 8 variables could be equal to.
