Having had a problem on my system, i decided to repair
windows XP through using the Boot disc supplied with the
machine. Installation copied the files and prompted that
the pc would restart and continue with the installation
after restarting the computer continously restarts without
entering windows or the setup.

My concern is that i can't access important documents
needed and I can't loose these document either through
installing a fresh copy of XP

I would be very grateful if someone could offer a solution
to this problem. Thank You.

What was the nature of the previous problem. Have you tried the repair
install again...? What type of computer do you have.
Can you bring your computer up in safe mode...?

I've tried repairing again but computer still doesn't load just keeps on restarting, the problem started with the font, having all the font being changed to some sort of code, a bit like windings unable to read anything, i tried repairing the computer using the boot up cd supplied. The computer is new 3.2ghz, 160gig HD, Nvidia Fx5200 graphics etc. Im unaware if the computer starts up in safe mode.

Bring it up in safe mode and try system restore to a earlier time.
Peck f8 key every 1/2 second while booting and before the windows screen. If
you miss, try again.
