sounds like a hardware
issue, though it seems
that your checks so far
prove otherwise.
maybe another
test might be of help.
click start>run>osk
osk is the onscreen keyboard
and with it you might see
if bypassing the attached
keyboard also bypasses that
persistent key issue.
