You mean you can browse the network but you are getting "acquiring ip
address" message or you cannot browse at all. What do you see if you
run ipconfig command on the cmd line
c:\ipconfig /all
Where is the DHCP server? You can try to "Repair" the network
connection on your laptop. There are probably many things to try out
if you can provide more information.
