How to consolidate PCs in home network

We have three PCs in a home network. I just had to reinstall Vista on one of
them. (The other two run Vista.)

When I reinstalled Vista on the one machine it now shows up in a different
"group" in our home network. I want them all the same group... in part so
managing firewall and sharing access with Norton Internet Security will be
easier.

How do I consolidate them in on group?

Do you mean 'workgroup'?
Change the name of the workgroup on each one to match the rest.

Although - to be honest - I don't see how that makes anything 'easier' per
se... ;-)

Why ask HERE? Do you see the word VISTA in this group's title? NO.

Ask elsewhere

Thanks Shenan.

I'm having a problem with Nornton Internet Security. I suspect that I need
to get all three machines in the same workgroup to deal with the issue I have.

I'll follow your suggestion. Hopefully this will lead to a solution of my my
problem.

Perhaps you did not read my post. Two of the three machines in my network
run XP.

Ignore the mentally ill school child. (Better still killfile him now). He
has been told before that not everyone can access the vista newsgroups.

If you re-read your own post, you'll find that you didn't say that at all.

That is THEIR problem. So, according to YOUR logic, if I have
problems starting my car, since I can't access a group about cars I
can just ask here? After all, I think the problem has something to do
with the electronic iginition system, controlled by a
computer...........

Dip.

Norton Internet Security (and any version of Norton Anti-virus
(included inSystem Works, 360 and Internet Security) has settings in
Internet Worm module which blocks the "NetBIOS" function. This is to
say that you can not access any PC by the unit "name" but if you were
to access the PC by its IP address, it works. You need to configure
the Internet Worm access rules so as to specify the IP address range
of your network, is permitted to go thorough the system.
