Read this first!

If consoles had better graphics than PC's. would you switch to console as your main games machine?

1nteger: A whole number
Windows is now a 64 bit tweak of a 32 bit extension to a 16 bit user interface for an 8 bit operating system based on a 4 bit architecture from a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition...So why the hell have I bought Vista?...OK so Win 7 is pretty good now.

All depends which consoles, your comparing to which PC/graphics card combination.

Personally, I prefer my PC, and don't mind console controllers (I bought a PC -PS2 copy - controller especially to play Vice City).

I've gone for 'Yup', because I'm getting an Xbox after my exams, but I will still use the PC for games too

I am not into gaming but my son prefers the console to PC for gaming and since last 2 years he has not come back to gaming on PC. He uses the XBox on a Pixel Plus telly.

I have gone for no.3 cos i own an Xbox and a Pc, and i must say i have more games for the Xbox than i do the Pc...

The Pc is better for FPS games though...

One thing i will say about Consoles is you haven't got to keep upgrading the graphics in them which is a real money saver...But you do pay more for the games over the Pc equivalant, so over time it's swings and roundabouts on that one...

And you don't have to worry about whether the latest game will run on an Xbox cos you know it will...

Doom3 for instance runs like a dog on anything less than a 6600gt with all the eye candy turned on for the Pc..

But the Xbox development team with Doom3's programmers have written the code so it is Optimised for the Xbox's Inferior (and a bit long in the tooth now) Geforce3 4200 TI graphics card...
And you see all the eye candy you need on the Xbox without any drop in performance...

As for whether Consoles have better graphics than Pc's thats a definite no...The Xbox has the more powerfull graphics card over the playstation, but it's still meagre over what a Pc offers in terms of performance..

So the Conclusion is General gaming without upgrade problems, ease of use for children and worrying about the next top title not playing.. goes to the Xbox...

Where'as the Pc is for the more Hardcare Gamer, willing to keep abreast with new technology, faster frame rates, and wanting a more realistic experience... and paying slightly more for it in the long run..

That's my two penneth worth anyway...

I play games on my Xbox, PS2 and PC, I got the ps2 on the day of release (But got a new one last year coz the old one lost the will to live!) Then i got the Xbox, never really played games on the pc until a mate started to get me hooked will the K/B and mouse, From then on i play games on all three of them. Usually the PC when the G/F aint about, coz i only really play FPS on the PC. But the consoles come into their own when we all go back to mine after the pub! Multiplayer madness!! Worms, Mashed, Timesplitters F.P. 1 lap time trials on GT4 round Laguna or if we are feelin confident (or foolish!) round Nurbergring!! But that can get a little messy after a night out! Brake!!! Smash!!
