Conserving HD space

I need to conserve HD space in saving data to CD's.

The text for SP4 says it incorporates all the fixes of earlier Service
Packs.

Before I delete it, I'd like to confirm that with SP4 present and
installed, there is no need to save SP 2.

You don't need the SP2 archive.

Technically you don't need the SP4 archive either. OS uses the (among
others) \servicepackfiles folder.
