Hi, im sitting with a really strange problem, ive got one machine that cannot ping a certain server on our network, it resolves the host name of said server OK but no pings are returned. the client machine can ping any other server on the network OK except for this one. I can ping the client machine form the server without problems. Then if you start a permanent ping to the server from the client machine it starts getting returns after a few minutes. The problem then seems to disappear until you restart the machine. I thought this could be down to a faulty port somewhere down the hardware line, but surely you would then have problems pinging other machines as well? any suggestions are welcome
