Hi - I'm trying to publish my website using the "FrontPage" option. However,
whenever FrontPage hits a file with a rtf, exe, doc, or swf extension
(probably more) I get the "connection timed out" error. I can manually go in
and choose "Don't Publish" for each of those files, but obviously that's not
an idea solution.

Using Windows XP and FP2003 on client and Windows 2000 Server as destination
web server.

Any ideas?

Have you checked with your host regarding these file types not being allow to be publish?

I have control of both the client and the server machines. I am not
knowingly preventing these file types from being published. I would confirm
if I knew where to check.

I remember at one point seeing an option either under IIS MMC or the FP MMC where you can block the
uploading of executable file types. I no longer have Windows 2000 server installed, so I can not
check the exact location of this option.
