Why do I get a slow or timed-out connection when I try to access my Web
site from a browser on the same Web server?

REQUEST STARTING POINT RESULT
======= ============== ======
http://www.<mydomain>.com IE6 inside my LAN. Slow or hangs.
http://<my global ip> IE6 inside my LAN. Slow or hangs.
http://192.168.0.3 IE6 inside my LAN. Works fast for days.

My System Specifications
========================
-W2K
-IIS 5.0
-SQL Server 7.0
-Netgear wireless 4-port router MR814v2

Thank You For Your Help,

Nate

I should also have noted these tested scenarios as well.

REQUEST STARTING POINT RESULT
======= ============== ======
http://www.<mydomain>.com IE6 outside my LAN. Fast 1st request, slow
2,3,? , eventually hangs.
http://<my global ip> IE6 outside my LAN. Fast 1st request, slow
2,3,? , eventually hangs.

Any ideas?

Thank You,

Nate

I figured out what was wrong. It was our router. Our Netgear MV814V2
wireless router was doing something wrong (port forwarding or deeper)
because we purchased a new Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and it
worked fine, both with HTTP and HTTPS. I have an open case with
Netgear, but based on our experience I would not suggest using this
model when you have Web servers behind the router.
