I have Windows 2000 Server with 5 XP Stations and 3 Win 2000 Stations. After
Every night the Network Connection to the Server is severed. I have to
Reboot all of the XP Pc's to get a reconnection to the network.

if you have red x on the mapping drives, it could be the autodisconenction issue. this link may help,
