Hello Peopl

Can anyone out there help me? My internet connection kicks in every time I boot up & tries to connect. Even if I cancel, about every 10 minute or so off-line the damn thing tries to connect again. Done a virus scan (AVG) which showed up nothing. How can I stop this happening

Help would be much appreciate

Mark.

you have spyware on your system trying to get out.
try spybot at safer-networking.org and then update and
scan. results are mainly cookies but if you see cydoor or
gator you are in trouble. then choose to fix selected
problems and you are clean. has a backup in case your
spyware hosts quit working.

Mark, it means that there is some third party software
that needs a connection to work on your computer. It could
be something as simple as your MSN to the point of where
you might not of closed it the previous time. If you have
anu anti-virus software, it may be set to automatic
update. have a look in your add/remove programs in the
control panel. And think about what programs you have
downloaded of the net recently.

Thanks Han

Downloaded Spybot (plus updates) & it seems to have done the trick. The offending spyware was somthing to do with "shopping" or something. Amazing how much spyware I had on my system though. Did notice "gator" though Spybot S&D seems to have sorted it. What's the problem with "gator" & "cydoor" that can't be fixed as you seem to imply?

Anyway, thanks once agai

Mark.
