An acquaintance of mine has recently upgraded to Windows XP Home. He is on
a Dial Up connection and says his 'Connected to the Internet' flashing icons
in the systray have disappeared, this is how he used to disconnect.

He says he has looked in Properties and also made sure it wasn't just hidden
in the systray, to no avail.

TIA

B.W.

Hi BW,

On the Connection Properties dialog (Start>Settings>Network
Connections>Internet Connection>Properties you will find a check box for
"Show icon in notification area when connected"

Regards.
