Hi,

I have been told by many technical support people that I
cannot connect a Windows XP Home computer to my Windows
2000 server, but today speaking to a software salesman I
was told that it was possible to do this (he seemed to
think that I had been given incorrect information and
that I am just stupid for thinking you couldn't). I have
tried to connect a XP Home computer to the network in the
past and it didn't work! Who is right??? And if it is
possible what am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Kirsty.

XP Home can't join a domain so everytime you will have to provide the
credentials if accessing a networkshare. It will also not get the policies
that are set on the server. Forget it and upgrade to XP Pro.
