I'm told that when you connect your video camera to your PC it should appear
in control panel under AVC devices. If this is correct where is it found?
In devise manager? The reason I ask is because when I connect my new
camcorder it's not been detected & I have never had any problem with the old
one.

If it's a digitcal camcorder, you may have to install the drivers for the
camcorder before connecting it to the PC.
