I'm desperately trying to do some file transfer from a
windows 98 desktop to a laptop using XP pro.
I've connected the cables and the two computers are
communicating but if I go to the network neighbourhood of
either machine I can't see anything of the other machine.

I connect using the direct cable connection, with the
desktop being the Host and the laptop the guest. I've also
set a number of files to 'shared' on the desktop.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
Neal.
