I am going to buy a printer in whose specifications is written that it uses
a USB 2.0 interface. Is it going to work with my PC which has USB 1.1 ports
only ?

Thanks in advance!

Valentin

Hi,

No, you can't use USB 2.0 device on a USB1.1 port.
If you like high speed transmission device, you need to
buy a PCI USB 2.0 card.

Check with the printer manufacturer. Some will work, passing the data at a
very slow speed. Just seems a shame to waste such a nice new printer on a
1.1 USB.... have you thought about purchasing a USB 2.0 PCI card?

Yes, at USB 1.1 or 1.0 speed
