I had a DVD Rom and CDRW connected to my computer before, the DVD Rom was on
SM and the CDRW was on SS now I have a DVD Writer I would like to move the
CDRW to SM and the DVD Writer to SS.

I have changed the pins on the device to Master for the CDRW and Slave for
the DVD Writer but only the CDRW would show up and not the DVD Writer saying
SS can not be found, but when I Master the DVD Writer and Slave the CDRW
it's ok but don't want it this way, am I missing something here?

thanks

When you say 'pins' do you mean jumpers? or do you mean the cable location?
