My PDA is connected by a serial link to a port on a
desktop pc in my home network. My new pc doesn't have
serial port and the usb serial converters I have tried
don't work with my PDA / new pc.

How can I create a virtual serial port on my new pc that
is connected to my physical serial port on the network?

simplest solution would be to buy a serial card and
install it in a spare slot in your pc.

Don't know the technicalities of vitual ports!
