I have set up printers on a workstation to be shared. I have windows 2003
server - domain. Windows XP Professional on workstation. I can see the
shares in the printer directory when I go to "add a printer". I can choose
the printer - then I get this error messsage unable to add teh printer
connection. either the printer name was not typed correctly or the
specified printer has lost its connection to the server.

Then I tried to go to my network places and click on it and click down to
the computer that is sharing the printer it wants a log on name. I even
added on of the users to the windows professional xp workstation and that
doesnt work. I went to security and the "everyone' account is listed- create
owner and I gave full rights

Then why are you connecting the printers to a workstation and not to the
server?

<sigh> - if you connected the printers to the SERVER and used it as a print
server, you wouldn't HAVE to "share" the printers - you could just install
printers on each workstation as NETWORK printers....
