connecting my laptop and desktop by using linksys wtr54 G router

i'm using the linksys wireless broadband router wrt54 G to connect my laptop
and desktop and to share my dsl connection. i use windows xp home on both
computers.. i congiurerd the linksys machine and the security i use is WPA
with shared key..when i use my laptop to connect wirelely to the internet..in
wireless network i get always 2 profiles one is secure(with WPA security) and
the other is linksys unsecure profile...how can i delete this unsecure
linksys profile so people cant use my connetion to log on to the internet...
i tried to disable the SSID to broadcast..but this would not let me to access
the internet

please help..
