Is the camcorder a digital one? If so, connect it with a
firewire lead to a firewire port on the pc. If you don't
have one they are really so cheap - look for an OHCI
compliant ieee1394 card, in UK they are available for
£15. This will give benefits of camera control, and
digital pictures to the pc which will be the best quality
you can achieve.
If you have to use s-video, then you'll need a card which
has a s-video input, I would have thought harder to find
and nmore expensive. As s-video only carries video,
you'll also need to connect the audio from the cam to the
sound card on the pc.
Need more help, then post a few more details about the
pc, what connections you have and the details on the cam.
