Could you tell me if it is possible to send information from office word to
my hotmail account as at the moment it is sent to outlook. If it is possible
how do I set this up

Is the Hotmail web based Mail or you are using windows Live client or other
client for that matter?

If you are asking if it can be set to bypass Outlook, your mail
client.. no.

IE Tools | Internet Options | Programs | Email: Is Hotmail a listed choice
here?

Hotmail is an e-mail service.
Word is NOT an e-mail client.
Outlook *is* an e-mail client.
