You can't move an OEM OS to another computer.
Your hardware is completely different.

No, that OEM copy of XP Home won't run on the new machine. You'll need
to purchase an OS. (I could be wrong, of course.)

Not only can you not move OEM versions of XP, since the old Compaq
came with it pre-installed, it may not even work/start on a different
PC than the original one.

The new PC should already have it's own OS. You may not transfer the Old
Compaq OS.

No. Nor would it be legal to do so.

By your own admission, you have an OEM license for WinXP that came
with the Compaq. An OEM version must be sold with a piece of hardware
(normally a motherboard or hard rive, if not an entire PC) and is
_permanently_ bound to the first PC on which it's installed. An OEM
license, once installed, is not legally transferable to another computer
under _any_ circumstances.
