Well yesterday was migration day, all went well, i got a text at 13.30 saying its been done. Shame i was at work... lol

The Bebox is good, but not great so today i removed the Be Box and use my DG834GT as it seems you get better synces with it as it the same chipset as the Be DSLAMS.

First up i installed the DG Team firmware. (tweaked)

Then set it all up and added all my devices back onto the wireless network. I have like 7 things that connect, Phones, a MOS internet radio and of course laptops etc...

So how did it go? Well.....

The Netgear syncs faster than the Bebox did, and Im on fastpath (lower pings for gaming)

I'm on Be and i have the same netgear router with maybe a slightly older version of the DG team firmware, i couldn't get anywhere near the speeds i can with the Be box

The netgear got this

And using the Be box i can get this

Might dig out the old thing and try the latest firmware but i'm suprised you get better results with the netgear

Edit: should probably add that i have the older blue Be Box, my girlfriend got the white V7 one when she was at uni which was rubbish, it used to drop out and power cycle itself at least twice a day

Sorry Me, just seen your post.

Ye the netgear seems to be the more popular router over on the Be forums. My old router that i used wit hEntanet was the older 585v6 (blue one) Gotta say it as very good.

My Be box is the 585v7, not syncing with as big of a gap as you but a good 1000kbps more with the netgear. (DGTeam FW is V1.02.16 - DGTeam Rev. 0848)

Not had any drops wit hthe v7 either.

I really like Be/O2 too I'm using the BeBox at the moment and it's ok, I might try my old netgear out of interest and see how that works if you guys are seeing such differences.

apologies V_R, completely missed your response

the only gripe i have with the Be Box's is the fact you can't use all of the ethernet ports, currently its not a problem as i have 2 machines plugged in but i plan on building a NAS so will have to set up the BeBox again so i can use the 3rd port

Think it may be worth a play with the netgear before i got through all of that though
