I have a similar problem. A laptop running Vista is connected to my home
network over Wi Fi (Through a wireless router). Internet access and file
sharing work fine, but I can't share a printer connected to a desktop PC
running Windows XP Home Edition SP2.
I'm able to connect to the printer, but any printing jobs sent to it just
stay in the print queue on the laptop - they do not appear in the desktop
print queue, and they never get to the printer.
The laptop has the latest printer drivers for Vista (it's a Lexmark 6170,
got the latest version from the Lexmark website). The desktop has a printer
driver for Windows XP.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Guy.
