Connected to Expander or Router ?

I have Range Expander (Linksys WRE54G)....
The instruction says the SSID must be the same as the router (WRT54GX2 )

XP's "Wireless Network Connection" only display one single entry

so how do I know, for sure, that I'm connecting thru the Expander ?
(beside the fact that signal is stronger)
