I want to connect a W2K server to a NT domain without having the W2K
server take over as a PDC. I just want the W2K server to be a server
in the domain. We have set up Terminal Services on the W2K server and
want a couple of our users to access Terminal Services. How Can I add
the W2k server to the NT 4 domain without the W2K Server taking over
as PDC?

Simply join the Windows Server 2003 computer to the domain. Don't run
DCPromo on the W2K3 server and it will not become a DC.

I am trying to join a W2K Advanced Server to a NT4.0
domain and keep getting the following error:

"The following error occurred validating the
name "domainname". This condition may be caused by a DNS
lookup problem. For information about troubleshooting
common DNS lookup problems, please see the following
Microsoft Web site: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/
LinkId=5171"

I can map a drive to the NT4.0 PDC and browse the server
from the W2k server I am trying to join. I can also ping
the NT4.0 server and ping the domain from the Wk2
server. DNS is working as it should. I just keep
getting this error.

Anyone have a work around or a fix for this issue?

Thanks in advance.

A NT domain uses NETBIOS and W2k uses RPC.
For allow communication between your servers add the WINS
address in the proper TAB of your w2k server or edit the
LMHOST file.
