i want to copy files from one computer to another.

To connect two computers together to move files folow
these steps.

1. Connect the two PC's by using a crossover cable.
2. Assign computer 1 with ip of 10.10.10.1 subnet of
255.255.255.0 gateway of 10.10.10.2
3. Assign computer 2 with ip 10.10.10.2 subnet
255.255.255.0 gateway 10.10.10.1
4 Share the folder that your files are located on.
5. Create a user account that the files are on you want to
move
6. Make sure that same user account is on the other pc and
you are logged in as that user
7. from the computer you want to add files to browse to
the other computers IP address. and that should take care
of it for you.

Make sure that you use a crossover cable and your gateway
is the ip of the other computer

if don't do that, what will heppen(gateway is the ip of the other
computer)? Thanks...
