Certainly. You need to use a sound recording application on your computer.
Windows already comes with a bare bones unit called "Sound Recorder", but
you might want to get something a little bit more advanced.
I would suggest starting out with Audacity; it is an open source
application, is free, easy to use, and does a good basic job at recording:
