Hi all,

I am new at this. So here's my question.... I have a
desktop with WIN2000 pro and a new laptop with XP home
edition. I would like to move files from my desktop to my
laptop. I went ahead and created a shared network folder
on my laptop. Problem is I can't seem to be able to locate
(Add network) this on my PC. What am I doing wrong? Please
help...

try the following:

- disable xp firewall
- run network wizard
- activate guest account on both the computers
- set passwords for user accounts
- network share the folders
- disable norton/other firewalls
- Turn on NetBIOS over TCP/IP
- Start the Computer Browser service
- Damaged Registry Keys
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Clas
s\NetTrans\nnnn)
