Hi:
Got the problem to connect each other in my home network - one WinXP Pro
desktop and one Win2000 laptop with a NetGear Wireless router.
From Win2000 laptop, I can ping WinXP machine with 192.168.0.4, but
can't ping it with machine name. Having the same problem from WinXP to
Win2000.
I have not enable ICF, both sides don't have other firewall enabled.
I have enabled NetBIOS, both using DHCP and both can connect to the
internet.
Anything idea ? Thanks ahead!

Best Regards
Kevin

Kevin,

Do either computer have other firewall installed but not enabled?
Many third party firewalls cause this problem, so you gotta un install
each competely (carefully following instructions too), and reboot
afterwards.

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
