I have a Win2k Terminal server. I have made sure that the
idle connection limits are turned off/etc. The terminal
server connection overrides the user configs. But I have
users that are connected, but are disconnected within 2
minutes, when inactive. What could be the issue here?

Ya. I did a search on google initially before I came here,
and saw that exact article. I had made those changes
initially as well.

Have you tried adjusting the timing values of the
keepalive values to force the system to send keepalive
packets more often? Oh, be sure to reboot after you make
changes to the registry.

Hi, Matthew

I've been watching this thread since I have the same problem....I've
increased these values already.

We have changed the connection method on the client end from dial-up to a
cable modem connection and back to dial-up through a different provider,
thinking it may be the connection from our other office that is the problem.
I'm thinking it must not be since we've got this problem on any type of
connection from the client standpoint. Could you offer any other suggestions
for us?

Thanks for helping...
