I've just had a report about one of our units popping up a
blank white netDDE Agent window, maximized. When it was
minimized, the command window was missing.
The Network Dynamic Data Exchange component is not in our
image, and netdde.exe is not present, however the
nddeapi.dll is present in the workstation service.
Can anyone shed any light on why this window may have
appeared? The engineer did not have an ethernet cable
connected to the unit, and the unit was, apparently 'like
it when I came in this morning.'
The netDDE Agent window could be resized but not closed,
and the unit was still responding to telnet connections
once we connected to it with a crossover cable.
