ok i got a scenerio here, i got an uncle who lives on boat
in remote area, he is using his desktop on his boat for
runing a navigation program. so far he has told me that
the mouse doesn't work, the curser flashes and moves
iradicatly across screen, and has to reboot, sometime he
has to do it couple times inorder to makeit work. I was
going to suggest to him, when he can make it down to
civilization, to try to upgrade his OS at a freinds house
who has internet, and if not working, see if there anynew
drivers for the GPS navigation system he is working, if
anything else, he would have to go in and manually
restrict the IRQs for each device cuz maybe overlapping.
Is there any possible solutions i can inform him to do?
right now he is stuck in middle of coast in small village
with out internet. he had some bozos try to fix it while
he was in a town working, but they ended up charging him
200 and then sold him a new mouse he didn't need and
didn't fix the computer. so he is a little bitter about me
saying bite the bullet and take it into a shop.
