When you got rid of Symantec, did you uninstall it first then run the tool
to remove it or just ran the tool? You do have to remove the complete
presence of Symantec not just the files but the registry entries also. You
might have to go thru the registry to search for Symantec and Norton to
remove it completely. I have done this numerous time when the uninstall of
Symantec did not go as planned.
