My problem is that I can view and share files and
printers between computers on my route, but when I go to
work and establish a connection with the network NT
server there something changes. When I come home I can
no longer see the other computers or share the files.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is just a wild-ass guess, but you are probably
switching domains when you log in to work (vs a workgroup
connection at home) You might try different hardware
profiles to set up two configurations on your network
connection.
