I have a form on a webpage. I have the form set so that after submitting the
form, the information is sent (which it is) and then a confirmation page is
shown to the user. After the user submits the form they get the confirmatin
page, but the url is not http://mydomain.com/confirmatin.htm like I would
expect. They see
http://www.mydomain.com/_vti_bin/sht...t-estimate.htm. The page looks
exactly like my confirmation page, for some reason however the url is
different. This causes havic on my analytics for conversion.

The page that they do submit the for on is
http://www.mydomain.com/get-estimate.htm.

Any suggestions on what to do, or how to change this or what to look for or
why this is happening?

Thank you for your time.

Bryan

With your web open and the form page open in the Design window:
Right click your form.
Click Form properties.
Click Options.
Click Confirmation page.
Click Browse.
Browse to and select your custom page, but do "Not" browse outside of your main ( root ) web folder.
After the page is selected, click OK or Apply all of the way out.
Click Save.
Publish.

http://www.mydomain.com/_vti_bin/sht...t-estimate.htm is the page
you get when using FrontPage extensions to process your form. The only
way to change this is to write your own form handler in whatever
scripting language (asp, PHP, asp.NET, Perl/CGI etc) that your host
supports.
