I can't figure out what I am doing wrong, but my confirmation page does not
keep the formatting from my web page theme. I have a black background with
white fonts, and when you fill out a form and submit, the page comes back
white background black fonts.

Any idea where what's happing here and how I fix it?

Thanks!

Hi Neyman,

The Form confirmation page is generated automatically. You can use a custom
confirmation page using your theme and set that page in the form
properties. To do this, follow the steps

Create a new page in the existing web that says what is wanted for a
confirmation page.

Apply the theme to this page and Save the page.

Go to the form page in FrontPage, Right click on the form, and choose "Form
Properties"

Click on the tab marked "Confirmation Page"

In the URL box, type the name of the page created to replace the generic
page, or click browse and then select the new page.

Save the page.

Now, when the form is submitted, the new confirmation page will be
displayed.

Hope this helps

Thanks Harikumar for the response. I have create a custom page but it still
does not keep my theme.

http://www.waypointsolutions.com/beta/test.htm is my test for page. On
submission, the confirmation page is the same path confirm.htm. You will
notice it goes from a black background to a white. Both pages have the
site's theme applied.

Have I missed a setting somewhere?

Thanks!

maybe you need to have more of the path to the confirm.htm page...try beta/confirm.htm.

Rob,

I looked at that too, but I noticed that the _vti_bin actually runs and it
is almost like it replaces the test.htm with the confirm.htm. I get the
feeling the dll actually writes a tag in there that overwrites the settings.

If you go there and run the test, take a look at the link path and you will
see what I am talking about.

I have a feeling that it may just be one of those weird things, since it
seems no one else has had this problem. Please let me know if you have any
other thoughts.

Thanks!

Paul

I'm confused as to why you have a DLL file in your path. When I create a
form, I get an opening line similar to this:
<form method="POST" name="FrontPage_Form1"
action="../_vti_bin/shtml.exe/contact/index.html"
onsubmit="return FrontPage_Form1_Validator(this)"
language="JavaScript" webbot-action="--WEBBOT-SELF--">
I'm not sure if that's part of the problem or not. Also, try typing in the
entire path to the confirmation page. I know it sounds weird, but it has
worked for other things in the past for me when a relative path didn't.
